    Stopped in for happy hour and sushi.  We were staying in the Airbnb above Merchants pub next door.  Austin was our bartender and he proceeded to make us delicious craft cocktails while giving us lots of info re. the menu plus historical info about this super cool old school bar. He made the whole experience quite lovely. We totally enjoyed our food, drinks and sushi. Highly recommend  the happy hour. Thank you Austin for a great experience. We will see you on our next visit.

    The shoppe part of the name makes more sense now that I've been here. The bar itself is neat and service was nice. There's also shelves against the wall with a lot of little bar knick knacks like shakers, stirring spoons, butters (so many bitters), pourers, etc. kind of neat if you're in need of a gift for someone who loves their own personal mini bars.

    I wanted to love this place, but I couldn't.
    Austin was great and all but my hand rolls sat behind the bar for 10 minutes before we got them. We also sat at the bar for 10 minutes before we saw any employee! This place is great if you are patient and have a lot of time on your hands!  Thank you but aweee no thank you! The happy hour is also not that great! Just saying!

    Cute place with a variety of craft cocktails. I just wish that they would 1) serve food (please) and 2) add more booze to drinks as they were pretty lightweight for the prices. The bartender was amazing and very helpful when it came to selecting drinks. On top of everything, they have an amazing selection of barware available for purchase.

    The Bar Shoppe is seriously freakin' incredible. My favorite cocktail bar in Seattle, hands down. Here's why:

    1) An excellent array of hand-crafted cocktail selection
    2) Most drinks are only $11, which is a steal for drinks this good.
    3) Lots of whiskey/rye/bourbon drink selection
    4) Great customer service
    5) Beautiful atmosphere with red lighting and a Chinese-style decor.
    6) You can get sushi burritos and Full Tilt ice cream in the adjacent location (by the same owner) at I Heart Sushi.
    7) The drinks are crazy balanced and smooth! (high quality bartenders!)

    Drinks I had and loved: Pioneer, Trinity Sazerac, New Fashioned

    This place is awesome for a dinner/drink date if you're looking for a good spot in Pioneer Square.
